CBD and CITES for Gardens
PlantNetwork Meeting
9.45am–4.30pm Tuesday 23 February 2010
Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew
The Convention on Biological Diversity and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species
of Wild Fauna and Flora pose both opportunities and challenges for the holders of plant collections.
This workshop will consider these implications on our work and share ideas about how gardens can work
together to deliver the objectives of the Conventions: conservation, sustainable use and benefit sharing.
A light lunch will be provided and there will be a brief walk to look at some plants at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
