GUIDING PRINCIPLES BEHIND THE COLLECTION:
A beautiful Arts and Crafts Grade II listed gardenbequeathed to the University in 1944 by John Nicolson.
Many interesting historical features including colour themed borders, an unusual hazelnut tunnel, a Japanese bridge and stream side planting, Lean too greenhouseWalled Rose Garden, Arid House, Orchid House and Alpine areas. A diverse and expanding plant collection conserving many rare species. Education, outreach and community inclusion are all key guiding principles behind the collection.
