GUIDING PRINCIPLES BEHIND THE COLLECTION
The Gardens are currently undergoing a £3.5 million restoration programme funded by Heritage Lottery Fund. This includes restoration of the plant collections, labelling, database and archive research; commenced 1997, to be completed by 2001. A further Lottery Application is under assessment and would provide information technology and education facilities.
