| GUIDING PRINCIPLES BEHIND THE COLLECTION | |||
| Initial planting was as a garden, rose beds etc, now themed to be as naturalistic as possible, creating a green background and pleasant ambience for visitors plus planting within exhibits to recreate natural habitat. Within large scale plantings there is scope for more interesting plants. Plants now seen as just as valuable as animal exhibits. | |||
